Alpha-Bleed Preflight
A downloadable tool for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Alpha-Bleed Preflight checks transparent PNG art locally before engine or browser import. It flags hidden-RGB edge colors that may contribute to filtering halos in one simple downsample model, then produces deterministic per-file text, JSON, or CSV reports.
Included: read-only file and folder scan, clear clean/finding/unsupported/error results, six synthetic examples, and offline documentation. Extract the ZIP and run `node src/cli.mjs samples`; then point the CLI at your own PNG or folder. Windows users may use the included .cmd wrapper. Requires Node.js 22+. No install, account, upload, subscription, telemetry, or network use.
Scope: 8-bit RGBA non-interlaced PNG only, within documented file and pixel limits. This is a pre-import review signal, not an image repair tool, preview editor, engine plugin, or proof of a visible defect in a specific renderer. A clean result is not a visual-quality guarantee. Real-world predictive correlation has not been established. Check findings in your actual renderer and settings.
Single-user license: personal and internal commercial use is permitted; reports may be made for images you own or are authorized to inspect. Reasonable backups are permitted. Redistribution, resale, sublicensing, or publication of the software/source is not permitted. Provided as-is, with liability limited to the amount paid where legally permitted; statutory consumer rights remain. Full terms are in LICENSE.md.
Support covers setup, documented-profile defects, and storefront delivery issues, without a response-time SLA or custom engine debugging. The ZIP includes detailed limitations, privacy, security, and support notes.
